"Zero Encounter" depicts Marine Corps F4F Wildcats in close combat with A6M2 Zeros during a Japanese raid on Henderson Field, Guadalcanal on 7 August 1942.The pilots and planes at Henderson Field soon became known as the "Cactus Air Force", since Cactus was the Allied code name for the island of Guadalcanal.
