The Aviation Art Hangar Privacy Policy
Your privacy is very important to us. We want to make your experience on the Internet as enjoyable and rewarding as possible, and we want you to use our gallery’s array of information, tools, and opportunities with complete confidence.
We have created this Privacy Policy to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy and security. This Privacy Policy describes how the Aviation Art Hangar collects information from all end users of Aviation Art Hangar’s online gallery, both those who contact us without making a purchase ("Visitors") as well as those who make a purchase ("Customers"); what we do with the information we collect, and the choices Visitors and Customers have concerning the collection and use of such information. The Aviation Art Hangar requests that you read this Privacy Policy carefully.
Introduction
The Aviation Art Hangar is structured around a Turbify Store. Any information provided on our website is collected by Turbify on their servers from Visitors and Customers who access the gallery. That information is then shared with the Aviation Art Hangar. This information includes ordering information such as shipping and billing names and addresses, phone numbers, email addresses and credit card information. (See “Orders” below.) We use this information primarily to fulfill customer orders and requests. We do not share this information with any third parties. However, we may disclose personal information collected if we have received your permission beforehand or in very special circumstances, such as when we believe that such disclosure is required by law or other special cases described below.
Orders and Use of Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
If you purchase a product or service from us, we request certain PII from you on our order form. You must provide contact information (such as name, email, and shipping address) and financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date). We use this information for billing purposes and to fill your orders. If we have trouble processing an order, we will use this information to contact you.
We post customer testimonials on our web site which may contain personal information. (We do not include last names.) We do obtain the customer's consent via email prior to posting the testimonial to post their name along with their testimonial.
If your PII changes, or if you no longer desire remain as an Aviation Art Hangar customer, you may correct, update, or delete it by emailing Customer Support at aviationarthangar@gmail.com or by contacting us via telephone (443-537-5340) or mail at the contact information listed below.
Service Providers
Aside from Turbify which was mentioned in the “Introduction” section above, we utilize the services of Constant Contact, a third party marketing provider to provide broadcast email services for our periodic announcements of newly released artwork. When you patronize the Aviation Art Hangar, you will automatically be signed up to receive emails about Aviation Art Hangar new releases by our adding only your name and email address to our database held on Constant Contact’s servers. Additionally, Visitors may opt into to receive new releases by subscribing on the Aviation Art Hangar’s home page. Customers and Visitors on their own may add other information such as city, state and country of residence by clicking on the “update profile/email address” link at the bottom of each email. Street addresses may not be added to the profile. Every email from Constant Contact includes multiple “unsubscribe” links which enable Customers and Visitors to immediately and permanently be removed from the mailing list.
Both Turbify and Constant Contact are prohibited from using your personally identifiable information for any other purpose other than those described above.
Data Security
The ordering information you provide - including credit card information - is secured using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology via Turbify servers. Turbify uses SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption when transmitting certain kinds of information, such as financial services information or payment information. An icon resembling a padlock is displayed on the bottom of most browsers window during SSL transactions that involve credit cards and other forms of payment. Any time a Turbify asks for a credit card number during checkout for payment, it will be SSL encrypted. The information you provide will be stored securely on Turbify’s servers. This SSL technology is used to prevent such information from being intercepted and read as it is transmitted over the Internet. The encrypted data goes to a secure site where your information is stored on restricted-access computers located at restricted-access sites. While Turbify makes every effort to ensure the integrity and security of its network and systems, they cannot guarantee that their security measures will prevent third-party "hackers" from illegally obtaining this information.
We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
If you have any questions about security on our web site, you can send email us at aviationarthangar@gmail.com.
Responses to Email Inquiries
When Visitors or Customers send email inquiries to the Aviation Art Hangar, the return email address is used to answer the email inquiry we receive. Aviation Art Hangar does not use the return email address for any other purpose without the sender’s authorization and does not share the return email address with any third party. If the sender requests to be, they can be added to our mailing list for periodic new releases that always contain an “unsubscribe” link that allows for immediate removal from the mailing list.
"Cookies" and how the Aviation Art Hangar Uses Them
A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user’s computer for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies on this site but do not link the information we store in cookies to any PII you submit while on our site.
Some of our business partners (e.g., advertisers) use cookies on our site. We have no access to or control over these cookies.
We use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies. We use session cookies for anonymous statistical tracking of the pages you visit which enables us to identify the popularity of any given page. Only your computer’s IP address is tracked, but not any of your PII. A session ID cookie expires when you close you browser.
A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive for an extended period of time. You can remove persistent cookies by following directions provided in your Internet browser’s “help” file. We set a persistent cookie to allow you to revisit the Aviation Art Hangar’s checkout system at a later date without having to reenter your personal information (excluding financial information.) This cookie is not used for tracking purposes of any kind.
If you reject cookies, you may still use our site without affecting your ability to surf through or purchase on our web site.
This privacy statement covers the use of cookies by the Aviation Art Hangar only and does not cover the use of cookies by any advertisers.
Clear Gifs (Web Beacons/Web Bugs)
We employ [or our third party advertising partner employs] a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web Bugs), that help us better manage content on our site by informing us what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. We tie [do not tie] the information gathered by clear gifs to our customers’ personally identifiable information.
Third-Party Web Beacons: We use third-party web beacons from Turbify to help analyze where visitors go and what they do while visiting our website. Turbify may also use anonymous information about your visits to this and other websites in order to improve its products and services and provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.
Special Cases
It is the policy of the Aviation Art Hangar not to use or share the personal information about Visitors or Customers in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to prohibit such unrelated uses. However, the Aviation Art Hangar may disclose personal information about Visitors or Customers, if we believe that it is reasonable to do so, including: to satisfy laws, such as the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, regulations, or governmental or legal requests for such information; to disclose information that is necessary to fulfill Customer’s orders properly or to protect the Aviation Art Hangar.
Public Forums
The Aviation Art Hangar does not currently maintain a public forum, blog, or any other kind of discussion group.
Changes to this Privacy Statement
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this privacy statement, the home page, and other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
We reserve the right to modify this privacy statement at any time, so please review it frequently. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here, by email, or by means of a notice on our home page.
Legal Disclosure
We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Web site.
