Domenic DeNardo biography
As a child during WWII, Domenic was obsessed with drawing war planes that flew from nearby airfields. His interest became fully realized when he earned his pilot’s license and purchased his first airplane. Although mostly self-taught, he received formal art training at the Rhode Island School of Design and also studied engineering at the University of Rhode Island. As an illustrator, his art has been published in periodicals including Aviation Week & Space Technology, Business & Commercial Aviation, Commuter Air, Time, Wall Street Journal, etc. Domenic now devotes full time to aviation art. His paintings have been selected for exhibition and awards by the EAA, CAE SimuFlite/Flying Magazine “Horizons of Flight," New England Air Museum, the Providence Art Club, and the American Society of Aviation Artists.
