C-17 Globemaster III, 05-5146 “SPIRIT OF HAWAII-KE ALOHA” passes over Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head on an early morning takeoff out of Hickam AFB, Hawaii
This is the first of eight C-17s delivered to the 15th Airlift Wing in 2006. Flown by the 15th Airlift Wing and its partner, the 154th Wing of the Hawaii Air National Guard, these C-17s give the Pacific Air Force the capability it needs to support its mission of providing ready air and space power to United States interests throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
