In the fall of 2010, the Tiger Sharks of the 75th Fighter Squadron, 23rd Wing at Moody Air Force Base deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan. While in theater the pilots and their distinctive A-10C's performed heroically in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. One series of missions took place over the Helmand River Valley. The depiction above shows four Tiger Sharks, callsign "Hawg," conducting coordinated attacks. Below, coalition forces are locked in a pitched battle and the JTAC clears the Tiger Sharks in on the target by calmly stating, "We've been cleared hot as a four-ship on that tree line...BURN IT DOWN!"
